I am tired of living paycheck to paycheck. I realize I have been missing out on things because of this. My things are owning me. I want a house, I want to travel, I want a positive balance in my bank account. I can’t have any of that with this monster hanging over my head.
As I was leaving for work this morning I stopped, turned around, walked back to my kitchen, took the MC out of it’s hiding place and cut it to pieces. Then I threw in it the garbage and went on with my day. It was liberating.
The plan is to get a second job a few hours a week and use that to pay for debt and only debt. I figure if I can work an additional 24 hours a week at minimum wage I cold be debt free in 2 years. I don’t know how realistic this is in the long run but I feel it may be a start.
