11. Attending potlucks. I had one for a Christmas/job meeting and all the food was made from scratch and delicious.
12. Private fundraising party at Back to he Grind. There were so many people in good spirits that night. The music was good the dancing was good even the swing breaking and Savannah flying into the Christmas tree was epic.
13. Throwing your own New Year’s Eve party. You don’t have to drive anywhere and be worried about drunk drivers or staying the night on a hard floor.
14. Sitting with old friends and just talking. I have been trying to meet up with old friends before moving. It is so nice to sit in a park and eat snacks and chat or sit in art studio and look at art books.
15. Running around town with a roommate on the search for a refreshing, hydrating drink after a long night of partying.

How I did it: I researched farms for months on different search engines. I emailed a couple of places that seemed the best fit. I emailed a few more. I set up a time frame and region I would like to work at. I went to a place where the lady said she wanted to build a school and a community garden. It was a huge flowered lie. I was alone, did nothing, lived in a black mold infested trailer in the middle of nowhere. I called a friend the wwoofed previous… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I read a lot. Gary Snyder, Han Shan, Siddhartha, Jack Kerouac. I let there writings sink in. I stopped writing in paragraphs. I stopped trying to grab all the details. I just exposed a moment here and there. A recipe. A drawing. A scent or color. Sometimes it was two pages long sometimes it was a sentence. I tried to write everyday but didn't beat myself up if i couldn't. It has become a beautiful record of adventures and connections. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I made templates of shapes i wanted unto cardstock then cut them out. Traced one on two piedes of felt then cut that out. Took some string and made a loop betweeb the two pieces of felt so it could hang on the tree then embroidered whatever I wanted. Read how I did it…

1. Writing a letter to a friend. I have few friends in different places and it’s nice to correspond in such a personal way.
2. Going to the beach at night when no one is around and standing in the ocean. I have done this only a few times but it is very amazing and humbling. It’s always ridiculously cold but always worth it. I usually have a sweater at least for when my pants and shirt get all wet.
3. Cooking dinner for people I love. I’m not very good at expressing my feelings verbally for people but I try to make up for it with actions and time. I think it works out fine in the end :)
4. Receiving letters and packages in the mail. who doesn’t?
5. Going hiking in a hail storm, barefoot and in shorts
6. People cooking food for me.
7. Supporting my friends in things they are passionate about like music or sewing.
8. Going to on a Freshh doughnut run at 1:30 in the morning
9. My teeny tiny bedroom. It is the very definition of comfy and cozy in my opinion.
10. You. Thank you for making me smile when I’m upset at the world and filling the days with adventures.
I have decided to re-start this goal because I as a person have changed a lot over the past year. I’m still the same in a lot of ways but a lot of relationships and goals in my life have changed.
