visited my grandmother a few months ago (not a huge feat in and of itself, she lives down the street). i have finally come to know one thing i have wondered all of my days: am i asian? english, french, irish, and, yes, i have now confirmed: chinese.

i finally found out:

no more, no more.

one year to get a cosmetology license?
or one month, to get my nurse’s assistant certification?
within the last few months i have decided upon the latter. while the former is still fun for me to think about—why spend an entire year, and more than ten-times as much money (compared to CNA training), when i already cut hair for friends and loved ones? keeping it simple.
this was the first dish of the evening, an appetizer-of-sorts. what a meaty dish! texture was the issue, and it was extremely rich, but the rabbit and truffles saved those who were fearful of textures. overwhelmingly, disturbingly, good.
