I love reading. Yet I’ve only willingly read a few books in my life. Why? Because I can’t get off Facebook, or stop watching the next TV series I’m addicted to. I’ve found many books that catch my interest, yet I’m not starting them.. I have 31 more days of sitting on my butt before I go back to college. I have no job, and few responsibilities. Why aren’t I reading?

How I did it: Mom and I woke up on a cold, February New York morning. We started talking about how tired we are of the bitter cold, and how stressed we both are, and how we just need to get away. We packed as quickly as possible, and decided to drive South, without a destination or a plan. A few hours on the road, we thought hopefully we'd hit some warmth by Virginia and stop there. How I did it: I often have this feeling of craving a late night deep, intense conversation. And generally don't sleep until I make it happen. I start by saying "Hey, what's up?" to a friend, mention what's on my mind nowadays, and some topic finds our way.
