Want to hone my abilities. Want to always have teaching (and learning) in my life.
BAC course is going well. Spend most my time building a foundation of course material. Have big ideas about taking it to the next level. Needs to be more interactive. Hope to get a chance to do it again.
Fav professor asked me to consider being his TA next year. Yippie.

I’m sitting in the basement computer lab, waiting for CAD to install in my laptop. Gonna give it a good go tonight. Time to get back on the saddle. My SketchUp drawings don’t print well and are hard to edit. Its been a few years since I’ve done any real drafting and I hope it goes easy, like riding a bike.
I can’t believe the quarter is almost over. And I’ve just found some conviction for my project. I am wishing for time to slow down and speed up at the same time. Gotta try and focus on the moment. Remember that I am learning lots along the way. I forgot about growing pains.
This is so good for me. I say that to myself a million times a day. This is so good for me.

Just a few words before my head crashes into the pillow. This morning I smiled when I turned on the radio and it said – the sun will rise in one minute. And it light up a beautiful clear cold day. Felt like Colorado weather.

Radio interview with Cliff Mass. I put his book – The Weather of the Pacific Northwest – on my wishlist. Progress in studio. Coming home to a big smile on a happy wet dog. Sorting out our words. Lemon ginger tea before bed. The scratchy sound of Christian drawing.

And he let me sit and drink tea when I go home at the end of a long day while he went grocery shopping. Ah, the little things. But for him, I would lasso the moon. And if its made of cheese, my burning love could melt it.

Bought our new camera yesterday! Its like carrying around a magic wand. I love that real camera sound of the shutter opening and closing. So much to learn.
Brunch and a movie. Overcoming some creative paralysis. Make make making into the night. Good radio.
Today, a long overdue walk to the beach with Cash. Then the Asian market and so much fun with Kara and Ryan. Cooking soup with my darling. Miss Mao seems to be getting over her cold. And now, indulging in a little procrastination.

Could have been more hot and sour. Proportions got a little off and the flavor was too subtle. Needed more of the ginger, garlic, curry concoction. Wonderful fresh ingredients from the asian market. Adding kale was a good move. The whole chicken was a little more trouble than its worth. Should have had the butcher chop it.

Midterms are over. And catching up from falling behind is almost over. I suspect I am about to resurface for a deep inhale and maybe a scream of relief.

A just before sunset walk. Chilly, but not cold. A bit windy, rougher water. Para-surfers put on a super-human ballet off shore. And the birds seemed to be surfing the air just for the thrill. Not many people on the beach, a few setting up a wedding at dusk. The trees are sooooo golden.

New sheets and super comfy pajamas. Fast flexible model building. This project is starting to gel. No group work this weekend. Feeling light and silly in a crowd that used to make me feel awkward and serious. Sleeping in. Bacon, egg, and beans for brunch. Early birthday presents – watercolor pencils from my sweetheart. As I write this I am sitting in the afternoon sun sandwiched between two snugly sleeping animals.
