Recent entries
The love for the language goes way back to my school days when I discovered that what I thought was ‘sweet’ Hindi is in fact Urdu. Then I discovered Umrao Jaan and knew that this was the one language that I can and must learn. Then the love of my life picks up Faiz Ahmed Faiz’s poetry for me and leaves adorable love notes through out the book. The language has opened up to me art that has touched my soul. But I’m still just a novice and will soon begin serious efforts to understand it better.
