There’s a pretty cool community on Livejournal called organizers at http://community.livejournal.com/organizers – it is inspirational!

Complete the 13 week run walk programme
Untitled 12 months ago

I’m currently on Week 2. And, if anyone else is interested, I found the program online: http://completerunning.com/dawn-on-the-run/wp-content/trainingplans/13weeks.html . I think it’s a lot gentler than the 9 week Couch-to-5k program a lot of people are doing, which is good for someone who hates and is as bad at running as me :)

learn german
Untitled 14 months ago

I spent 3 months this summer in Germany…picked up a bit, enough to get around, shop and buy train tickets, but not enough to not get laughed at when I talked to people. People did seem to think it was really cute/endearing that I was trying to learn German (almost everyone under 50 who went to college speaks great English). My hope is someday to take university courses in German or live in a city with a Goethe Institut and take classes there. In the meantime, I’m going to focus on Spanish, which is a lot more useful here in the U.S.!
