How I did it: At first, it took some time to reduce my tolerance of messiness. I had to change my viewpoint and my habits. I had to make it important to me. If you don't know why you are doing what you are doing...you have no real motivation. I realized that having a clean room was more about just getting the "mess" out of my life. It took forever, but I am finally going to take salsa classes. I found and opportunity and did not chicken out! Free lessons…can’t beat that! Til then Ole’ !
The key to going out more, is truly about attitude. Everyday there lies an opportunity (or one in the making) for adventure. For me, it helps to have others along for the journey. Or maybe even finding an event you love. I’m now going to concerts, movies, social functions, bible studies…I’m going out and exploring and enjoying. I hope to keep up my level of activities, and go out at least once a month, which I have been for the last 5 months. Sometimes, you just need a change of scenery. Home is nice, but it can’t be the landscape of your whole existence!
