Pork Chops with Orange-Ginger Glaze
From the June/July issue of Cook’s Country
Tasty, fast, not extraordinary, but quick and easy for weeknights. I wanted more ginger flavour though – the recipe called for ground ginger. Next time, I think I’ll substitute fresh.
Lemon Chess Pie
from the April 2010 issue of Cook’s Country.
A lemon custard pie with cornmeal, which, paired with a teaspoon of sugar sprinkled over the top just as it comes out of the oven, gives it a lovely crunch. Delicious!
And the pie crust recipe worked fairly well. It wasn’t incredibly flaky, but it wasn’t tough either.
