I’ve put my hair in a protective style and am continuing to moisturize it so that it won’t break off. The last time I set my hair was completely without heat. I usually set my hair under a hood dryer but I was tired after I rebraided some sections and just set my hair with rollers. It looks just like I set my hair under the dryer. I am going to keep my dryer so I can use it for deep conditioning, but I am limiting my use of heat, and it helps a lot.

I’m drinking more water everyday and getting at least seven hours of sleep a night. I’m also cutting back on junk food and writing more to deal with stress.

I have a notebook that I carry around with me, when I go on long trips or when I am just around the house. It doesn’t matter if what I write is just a passing thought in my head or if it is something that has lingered in my mind for a while, I write it down because I never know if what I write may turn into something that could help another person. You never know when your pain can give someone else happiness.
