I was scared to do it at first too, but really it’s not bad at all. If you’ve ever had to get an IV, that’s basically all the pain involved in donating blood. I found the experience kind of relaxing, and definitely satisfying afterwards. And I obviously didn’t need that blood anyway, I’m doing just fine without it!

It gets better, I promise

Since I have to be able to run a 15-minute two-mile by summer for drum corps, I’ve been running every day. At first it was just as miserable as it has always been, but very quickly it went from a chore to a hobby. Every day I run a little bit longer or a little bit faster, and every day I get more in shape. Definitely one of the best things I’ve done for myself in a while.
FINALLY!

I got a job, and went on a spree right before school started. I’m so glad I can finally wear clothes that don’t hide my shape.
