after looking at both bikes a lot, the RC51 scares the hell out of me because it’s got all that torque from the twin. but the sound from the bike is just so unholy, i don’t think i can resist it. by contrast, the blackbird is so fast it’s hard to ignore. it’s a friggin missile. i’d really love to own a black one, but i think i’m going to go with the RC51.
it will likely come down to which one i can find in the most-stock, most-cared-for condition.
I think I’d like a Honda RC51 or a CBR1100XX. If the BMW R800R is as nice as it looks when it’s new next year, I might finance it. But so far, it looks like I want the big guns. And, surprisingly, from Honda, when I’m really more of a Ninja person.
