One should have a strong guru for kundalini awakening who has practised it for years otherwise it becomes difficult to comprehend. Secondly your intentions must be pure (impure body or mind is ok) i.e. kundalini must be awakened only for self realisation and to meet supreme being and not for some material gains.
Once kundalini is awakened, it would start from the lowest chakra and follow Maslow’s hierarchy model i.e. your basic needs/desires would be satiated first and then slowly it would move upwards.
The process is a long one and carries forward to next birth i.e. if you have realized a chakra in this birth, you could start from next chakra in your next birth.
Kundalini once awakened Supreme being would take control of your body, your thoughts, your life and would save you from wrong doings as well as repent for your past deeds. It would make you feel helpless at times but you should surrender yourself to the wishes of supreme being to enjoy and move ahead in life.
