I have an opportunity to do this 3 months ago

Friends are travelling there, and I am invited to join them. It’s something that sounds fantastic in theory, but once I begin thinking about it as a reality, I get very nervous. Nervous about flying that far over a really big ocean. Nervous about all the things that could go wrong. Nervous about what will happen back at home in my absence.

I must decide what matters most. Am I really just an armchair traveller, curious about faraway places, but satisfied and happiest just to read about them at home? Or am I just a stick in the mud, who hides at home because I’m afraid of new situations?

What would I regret most? Talking myself into this trip, or talking myself out of it?
