Tonight I returned to 43Things so I could update the team on the news that ChangeEverything.ca (a site inspired by 43Things) has been nominated for a Webby. (It’s up against Facebook, among others, in the social networking category. Please vote for Change Everything at http://pv.webbyawards.com !)
As I always do when I come back to 43T after a while, I cruised down my list of 43 Things. And here it was: the goal of starting a company that survives longer than 2 years.
Well, we’ve not only done it (we’re now at 29 months, officially) but we’ve even made the short list for a Webby. Not bad for two years in!

I finally got to go to a gay wedding….and not just any wedding, but the wedding of our dearest friends. It was truly humbling and inspiring to be an event that was so personally happy and meaningful, and to reflect on the fact that this event was something none of us would have imagined possible even a decade ago. So—change IS possible!!!

The most popular books around our house these days are “The Owl and the Pussycat” and “Jabberwocky”. The rhyming helps our daughter anticipate what’s coming next so she gets the experience of reading along even though she’s not able to read yet. Plus she’s now well on her way to memorizing both poems!
