I am so in awe of people who do fun things for a living and who never have to worry about money (until their lawyers or accountants run away with it all and they have to start over again)...but still. There are people in the world who can go to any restaurant and order anything they want without calculating the combined cost of their drink, entree, and dessert. There are people whose hallways are wider than my bedroom, and whose living rooms seem like lobbies of charming hotels.
How did they get this way???
Was it form opening a separate bank account in which to save 10% of theie measley income? Or was something much more elaborate in the works there? I wonder…

There is a housekeeper here but she doesn’t clean my room. Recently, my aunt came to visit and I apologized about the mess. I told her that my room was just like my life at the moment. I guess my mother (also visiting) overheard and when I came back home from an outing later that day, my room was magically organized. Spic and span. It was wonderful. I know that my aunt and mom told the housekeeper to do it, maybe out of their need to see me feel good about myself. But you know…my room didn’t stay organized. It took all of a couple days to look as lived in as it did before, which goes to show me that my room really is a reflection of my state of mind and no one can help me fix things, except myself on a daily basis. (on another note: I am so lucky to have great relatives)
