I’m making good progress with this. I have a running buddy that I do 3 miles with each week. I still run on my own about another 2 miles. I’d like to get up to 10 miles per week by the end of the summer. There’s a few local 5K’s I’m signing up for that are later this summer, and I plan on doing the Susan G. Komen Race For The Cure again this year in September. No more torn muscles! Nothing is stopping me now!
I’ve wanted for a long time to start up a charity. I’ve dabbled with different ideas as the basis of the charity, but recently I’ve come up with something I’m passionate about. It seems that all the time when I talk with my friends with children and ask them about activities their kids are involved in at school, the list is usually pretty limited. One thing in particular that stuck out is gymnastics, which most parents’ have to go outside of school to provide to their children. Unfortunately, it tends to be more expensive that way and a lot of parents tend to deprioritize it in favor of other household needs.
I’d like to start small and maybe setup a fund for girls gymnastics, and try branching it out from there.
