Going vegan has been one of the best decisions I’ve made yet. I wanted to for years, but always thought it would be too hard. Then it just finally clicked for me - I finally realized one day that I was eating dead flesh and how cruelly (is that spelled right?) the animals are treated and killed and I thought, I really don’t want to be a part of this anymore. This is gross and I can actually make a choice here on this particular aspect of my life - several times a day, in fact! And really, it has not been difficult at all. I do prepare a bit more than I used to—meaning I think ahead about what I will eat later, but this is actually turning out to be healthier and cheaper financially for me. One unexpected bonus to it too is that I am never tempted anymore by all the fast food crap. So my advice is do it for the animals and don’t look back! I do remember feeling sort of like I was a freak though, at the beginning. I felt like I should have had a vegan coming out party or something. But now it just feels normal.
