Why do we elect humans as presidents of the united states. Humans change their minds, make logical mistakes, make rash decisions swayed by emotion, get sick, get killed, lie, mislead and don’t follow through with campaign promises.

If we have presidential candidates in the form of computer source code, which has parameters describing how the program would react to different scenarios, what its foreign, economic, military etc policies would be, everybody could read through the program and there would be no surprises once the president was elected. We wouldn’t have to worry about what this program has done in the past coming back to haunt it, because the president would simply be a set of logical rules.

This is probably the best idea I’ve ever had. Right after hacky-babies (a cross between hacky sacks and beanie babies).

Coming along well, getting good at using functions, creating classes, drawing curves and lines. I still need to learn how object collision works.

So I have successfully installed FlashDevelop 3 beta 5 with the Flex 2.0 SDK and successfully done a tutorial where I create a ball that bounces around. I also was able to create an SVG with Inkscape and embed it, so I’m very pumped now that I know how to:
work with mouse interactions
Embed sound, bitmaps, svgs
move objects around, use intervals and timers

I have a book on Actionscript 2.0 which is going to be not useful since all this work will be in actionscript 3.0… So I am going to have to find a good place to learn AS3.
