These are the fears haunting me. These are the fears I have to overcome.
I’m not doing very well… I am trapped in my old habits and every time I manage to start a good habit, it is just so damn easy to slip back to the old (and vicious) ones.
Take today for instance: it is midday and all I did was wasting my time online instead of getting my lectures ready. My mood is depressed and everything looks grim.
These are the routines I’m struggling to establish:
- walk my pet at 9 am and 6 pm every day
- follow a healthy diet by putting care and effort in planning my meals
- go to bed early so that I can wake up early and exercise
- exercise daily even if for just 15 minutes (ideally 1 hour)
- stay focused on my research 4 hours a day
- go shopping at least once a week (window shopping is fine too) or do something (anything) outside my safe zone.
OK… I’m back to square one. It can’t get any worse, and the best is still to come. Good luck!!
