I think I’m going to stick with photography and becoming a doula. Who knows… might change my mind in a few years.

Wow.
Last weekend I got rid of nearly 400 pounds of STUFF that had accumulated in our home; tons of outgrown children’s clothes and gear were sold to a local consignment shop, and a great deal of nice adult clothes, shoes, and housewares were given to Goodwill. I also have about 100 lbs of misc. items awaiting pick up after having listed them on the local Freecycle board.
It’s an awful feeling, when you realize that your stuff owns YOU, instead of the other way around. Then again, do we really own anything? Is anything truly ours and ours alone…?
I was offered some room in a small gallery for local artists, and of the 12 I’m showing there, 5 are of my children. Hopefully this will be a good way to start getting a little business. Also thinking about offering my photo services to other local Navy wives at a discount, in order to build a portfolio.
