Flickr is a fantastic source of inspiration! For those of you who have listed this as your goal, I highly encourage you to get an account there. I’ve learned a lot from my little point and shoot, and also benefited from photo editing programs such as GIMP (downloadable) and picnik.com. I recently got a Nikon D50, and I’m loving it! Now I’m checking out lenses…and really leaning towards a 50mm f1.4. Of course, I’m still improving every day, and I’ve got plenty to learn! But I’m putting this goal down as “accomplished”. ;-)

How I did it: Just buy a kit and lots of candy for decorations! My family would always buy coconut to sprinkle around it for snow and gumdrops to line a path to the door. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I did this when I was maybe 7 or 8 for my mom for mother's day. I made her scrambled eggs, toast with jam, and dad helped by making coffee. Mom was surprised and it really made her smile...until she took a bite of the toast...My sister and I had thought it would be really special to make the jam ourselves. We had a raspberry bush in our backyard, so we had just picked a bunch of raspberries, mashed them up, and added a bit of sugar. Mom p… Read how I did it…
How I did it: Awkward and funny story. My dad had told me about the meteor shower coming up (I will have to check back which one...) and I looked up the best times to watch it, which happened to be between midnight and two in the morning. I was home for a holiday at the time...and my parents' home has one of those alarm systems that they set at night that goes off if you open the door. When the meteor shower came around, everyone else had gone to bed, … Read how I did it…

I went to see The Seafarer over Christmas. I had already seen it at the National Theater in London, and it had two of the same people who were in it then, both of whom are brilliant, Jim Norton, and Conleth Hill. It also had David Morse playing Sharky, and he was brilliant as well. I could see this play over and over again.
And of course it’s best to ride on the top level, and even better when you’re in Professor Duckworth’s class and going to a museum.
