had a fairly stupid week, but am relaxed about it..it’s 8 months away…running through this cold cold winter’s gonna be harsh, and have yet to make it to a spin class..but i’ll go, eventually…and swimming is so cool…the speed is back, and my endurance feels fine..still wanna learn how to flip turn, but clocking some fair times when i’m swimming is cool, and like doing drills to…though the kick board is a pain..but this is a good start, to at least feeling good about the challenge

just read an article in the local paper about a couple that went a whole year without making any major purchases…other then food, medicine, a fresh underwear, nothing…..i’m a runner and a marathoner, but spend money like water drips off of a glacier..i need to fix that…..not spending money on just anything and everything, all the time..contantly..i can’t drive past a starbucks without stopping, and never just for a normal coffee..at 4 or 5 bucks a shot, more then once a day, not am i always on a sugar rush, it’s also getting expensive!!!
not running, not training gives you too much time to think!...i’m still restricted from running or road biking (with my clipless pedles), or swimming while kicking my legs, and though i’ve been going at it on the eliptical trainer, and have hopped into the pool with my pull toy (oops, buoy)...my body is screaming at me to get outside and train!!!....
but this week should be better. sounds like the physio is leaning towards me getting out for a short run this week, and i’ve been hitting the weights too, so who knows, i may actually look more fit after this..and after all it’s months and months until i have to start even training for ironman…..so rest, stretch, strengthen, and all that can only do me good…..next week’s topis, what about a new bike?
