I just made the final payment on my oldest, fattest, most abused credit card! I have one left, which is a 12-month 0% transfer that I opened about 2 months ago (10 months to go).

How I did it: Open up and chew. That's what I had to do. Start with the beginner plate and bring an encouraging friend who won't let you run away from the table. What more can I say? Just go for it. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Making moderate size payments (always more than the minimum) for several years. One extra big payment at the end, being transferred today. Want to start saving for a house, or pay off my car. Read how I did it…
I finally quit my job for a better one, and took some vacation time in between. I drove up to the White Mountains in New Hampshire and had a spa retreat by myself for a few days. The scenery was wonderful, the resort was so inviting, and the spa treatment was incredible. I’m still reminiscing about it. The smell of lavender, which was used for the scrub and hot stone massage, still evokes that totally relaxed and calm feeling.
Might be doing this sometime in the next couple of months if my business trip gets approved. I want to spend an extra weekend in the area, keep the car, and drive highway 1.
