I’ll be living in this country for a few years & I know it’ll make things easier if I learn the German language. I want to be able to order things off the menu without taking a peek inside my Learn how to Speak German phrase book & sound natural doing it. I’m considerng taking a certificate course in German through the college here. Not sure about doing it, but it’s worth a try.

I’m not THAT bad, but I would like to use profanity less often. I’ll have to start replacing curse words with other things like: freak, fudge, snap, shoot, dang, darn, etc.
...or I could start a curse fund; each time I utter a profanity, I’ll have to put a quarter in a jar.

Started w/ the credit cards when I turned 18 & moved away from home. Bad move. Acquired 8 credit cards that first year & maxed out all but 1. Most of the cards were from department stores like Victoria’s secret, Foleys, Macy’s, JCPenney’s, & a few others, but what happened to all the stuff that I bought? Add a visa & mastercard to the list & those were the cards that gave me considerably large limits, so you can imagine what happened there.
Over the years, I’ve taken care of ALL my bills; I’ve never asked my parents or husband (after we got married) to lend me money & I’ve stopped using credit cards. In fact, after paying off 6 credit cards, I’ve become disgusted with credit cards in general. The only card I use now is my debit card & I’m thankful that money is deducted out of my account right away.
So, 2 more cards are left to pay off & the balances aren’t too bad, so I’m hoping to pay those off in a year or two.

I’ve handwritten all the thank-you notes to my former co-workers & mailed them off before driving down to Texas. Hopefully, they’ll receive them by Monday. In addition, I’ve left wallet-sized photos from my farewell dinner.
Each note had something personal about each person; I had to sit back & think of something nice or sweet to say about them. :)
SO worth it.

I’ll never get them done. Just like a graduation, a wedding, and every other important milestone in my life, I’ve got to get into the habit of sending thank-you notes / cards for those events. They also remind friends and families that you don’t take them for granted and you truly appreciate the gift and thoughtfulness for their deeds.

They’ve arrived today & these petite beauties have already got me wrapped around their little fingers. Nina & Rida came in & I’ve renamed them Kendall & Bianca, respectively.

I’m not scratching this off until the 2 Pullips I’ve ordered arrive safely at my doorsteps. I’m so excited, I know I won’t be able to sleep well until they get here.

It’d be nice to learn some Ilocano. Years ago, when my family visited my dad’s province, I hated the fact that I couldn’t properly converse with some of my relatives because they really didn’t know Tagalog…or English. My mom’s Tagalog & she doesn’t understand Ilocano either, so dad always used Tagalog at home. Now, I’d like to learn a bit more about the language.
...my in-laws don’t understand it so that’d definitely be a plus!

Lately, I’ve been busy with a whole lot of things & it’s been awhile since I’ve taken the time to have lunch with a buddy. A month ago, I did promise to make a lunch date with a girlfriend & she’s still on vacation, so I’ve got to wait until she comes back. I love doing the lunch thing: there are just times when you’d rather sit face-to-face with a good friend just to have a silly laugh.

Means that I needed new glasses & I finally ordered them today (after the appointment). Took me a good 30 minutes trying to decide on a new pair & finally found something that doesn’t make my face look too roundish. I’m happy w/ my decision & I can’t wait to pick them up when they’re ready.
This time, I didn’t let the vision assistant haggle me w/ my choices.

In a world of e-mail, text messaging, phone calls, sometimes we forget what it feels like to receive or do something personal. I sat down & took the time to write a few notes on the back of a postcard. I mailed it knowing that my friend would appreciate the time & effort I took sending it off.

Right now, it’s a mess & I have to pull them all out if I want to watch something. Part of the problem exists in the entertainment center I have; it’s not designed to house so many DVD’s. I’m forced to stick some of them in the back & keep the popular or “most viewed” titles up front. Worse, I’m running out of space to put new ones & I refuse to buy a separate shelf or case for my collection.

Don’t think I’ll be heading to Vegas any time soon, although it would be a nice little excursion.
...the house ALWAYS wins.

I’ve hacked most of my hair off yesterday, although I didn’t have much to snip off. I look & feel different, but I love the fact I don’t have to mess too much w/ my hair. Wash n’ go.
