I was here about six months ago and have not drunk since. I have been using a website at We Quit Drinking. There are other places as well, for example Rational Recovery. If you include others in your quit, you increase your possibility of success by a long way. People around you often do not appreciate your problem, sometimes even partners. They can be a problem rather than an help.
It can be done alone but it is hard.
