How I did it: I loved to smoke in my car. So now I always keep sugarless gum in my car. I don't go to the gas station where I used to buy cigs. I changed my routine which distracted me from the habit. I have noticed spicy food like curry makes me crave them, but I have heard that a craving only lasts for about a minute and a half-so I just tell myself that I can get through it. And I have. How I did it: I submitted 2 payments every month to get ahead on the interest. Direct Loans won't let you pay a principle only payment-so I paid a significant amount on the due date and an even bigger amount later in the month. I put every extra dollar that came my way to this debt. Tax refund, stimulus checks. I told everyone I knew about this goal and it forced me to live up to my goal of paying off my loan in one year. I don’t like the idea of a uniform in the coffee shop. I do, however, like the look and functionality of an apron. There are so many unique fabrics and designs. It seems an easy way to dress up jeans and a t-shirt.
