This weekend I got so excited at the thought of cooking my own meals that I spent way too much money on groceries, and when Monday came around and I was at school all day for 3 days, I wasn’t home to eat the food and it’s starting to go bad. Note to self: When shopping, only shop for 2 days!

How I did it: I actually ended up signing up for a half-marathon with Team in Training, and ran a 10K race along the way in my training (not to mention the half marathon!). So I guess I went a little above and beyond on this goal. But both races were amazing, and I can't wait to repeat both races to improve on my time. Perhaps next year I'll even try a full marathon.... How I did it: Took the GMAT, completed a lengthy and multi-faceted application, and got into the school. I started school part-time so that I could continue gaining work experience while I was in school. After a while, I left my job to finish school full-time, and got it all done in 2 1/2 years. How I did it: I went a little above and beyond on this one by training for a half-marathon. But signing up for the race was really good motivation to get going on this goal. It made running consistently a priority, and I do very well with a structured training plan. I signed up for another one just so that I'll keep going. Read how I did it…

Turns out there wasn’t a mistake beyond my own miscalculations for what I’d need. So… what I have will barely get me to the end of the year (April). I could try to get another loan, or see if I can negotiate a good signing bonus for whatever company gives me a job—that $$$ should make up the difference and moving costs and then some. Hmm.
I’ve really been blowing this goal. Since school started a couple of weeks ago, this has just been incredibly tough—I’m lucky if I make it out there once a week. Sure, I’m doing a lot more walking around campus which should help, but definitely not what it should be.
