Moved into my new place and the screen windows are kept in there spot with little nails. Not very secure. Some of the screens are old and separating from the metal. Damn. I will let the manager know (he is a friend). He says the owner is cheap about things but this is an issue of safety. My cat likes to lie in the windows. I am doing my best to secure them but I still don’t trust the windows. We are on the second floor.

much lately. I have been so consumed with the moving that I haven’t taken a moment to call. My mom wants me to come visit all of them soon. Once I put away some of these boxes I will be able to figure out what to do next.
Ahhh…moving!

It’s long. It really is. I am going to retire this goal for a while because it’s taking up valuable space:)
It’s about this long.

Trial and error. This is not going well. We have a well sanded area and now we need to find a top coat/ sealant/ stain type thing to match. This has been a long frustrating process.

I was just looking on ebay for a custom gift item for my little nephew Liam. I found this
for sale. I don’t get it. I really don’t. It’s an underweight, life like baby? It is so lifelike that I though it was a real baby.
What do you think of this?
Do you know people who collect dolls like this?
Do you find this even the slightest bit creepy? or is it just me?
Okay, just read the site more. It says that user id’s are kept private. I think this may be for people who have lost a child. A very personal and sensitive issue. I hope this question doesn’t offend anyone. I just have never seen anything like this

Thank you for the invite! This reminds me of my visit to Ix Chel Farm in Belize. During the time I was there we spent time in the jungle in an area that as going to be cleared for a Chinese village. We collected seedlings for different trees (mahogany was on of the trees) and replanted them in a nature preserve. If you are ever visiting Belize you might consider visiting Ix Chel Farm and taking a walk on the medicine trail.

We drove by and looked at the place. I decided that the air conditioner had to go. It is taking up 1/4 of the precious window space in the bedroom. Maybe by next summer, I will find a better one that’s less cumbersome.

Do you drive?
What kind of car do you drive?
Manual or automatic?
What color is it?
What part of driving makes you feel the most tense?
Do you get nervous passing a big truck?
Has anything happened to you when you passed a big truck?
What kind of driver are you? (i.e. overly cautious, speedy, etc)

This morning when I was out checking on the tomatoes I noticed a box by my front door. A tent! My Dad sent me a tent for my birthday. At first I was really bummed because it was a totally different one than what I had my heart set on (I sound ungrateful don’t I!). But after doing some research I realized it has everything that I want.
It’s:
6 Feet tall
Not too heavy (13 lbs)
It has:
2 doors
an open top to see the stars
lots of space (10×10)
A nice color (light grey w/ a navy top)
I love it. I will post a picture soon.

I found it interesting how they explained the pain that the infant experiences. This is on the opening page of an advertisement for Silverlon.
The Truth about Circumcision and Infant Pain:
The skin of the penis of a newborn baby has pain receptors completely sensitive to clamping and cutting. The myth that newborns do not feel pain came from the observation that newborns sometimes withdraw into a deep sleep toward the end of the operation. This does not mean that they do not feel pain. Falling into a deep sleep is a retreat mechanism, a withdrawal reaction as a consequence of overwhelming pain. Not only does circumcision cause pain in the penis, the newborns over all physiology is upset. New research shows that during un-anaesthetized circumcision, stress hormones rise, the heart rate speeds, and valuable blood oxygen diminishes. Babies should never be subjected to the shock of un-anaesthetized circumcision.
The Advantages of using the Silverlon® Circumcision Wound Dressing:
The Silverlon® Circumcision Dressing provides the safest and strongest multi-day antimicrobial protection available today at the site of the Circumcision. In many instances, Silverlon® Wound Dressings are shown to help reduce swelling, inflammation, and pain. The Silverlon® Circumcision Dressing will provide the infant with strong Antimicrobial Protection and may help the infant to heal quicker with less pain.
