I’ve started walking during my lunch hour. Not only is the fresh air and sun a nice change from the florescent lights of my cubicle, but it’s a good way to fit in a little bit of exercise. I also weighed myself again, this time on a digital scale, and it says that i’m 10 pounds less than what the spring-scale reported. Don’t know which to believe. My friend advised that it didn’t matter as long as I used the same scale each time to track my progress. Makes sense.

I’m a picky eater, but I do like some Thai food. I like most coconut milk-based curries (not too spicy), chicken satay (with peanut sauce), and LOVE mango sticky rice. I was on the verge of an addiction to Thai Tea a little while ago, but have managed to curb the cravings. If you haven’t tried one, you must- Thai Milk Tea with boba (tapioca “pearls”). YUM.
When I decided to move out of my small hometown I was so excited! But the actual packing and moving part was a pain. All the little details- mail forwarding, setting up the utilities, memorizing new numbers…blah. But it’s so worth it. I only stayed in my subsequent place for about a year-and-a-half before having to move accross town…which, annoyingly was even more frustrating than moving accross state. But the new place is cute and I get to re-arrange furniture and decorate and have my own space…and it will all fall into place eventually (even if I did forget to turn in my roommate’s keys to the old apartment). My only advice if you are young and renting is to travel light. I’ve moved five times in the last five years, and i’ve found that I really “need” less and less. It just makes life simpler.
