I have wanted to do this for so long (or at least since I watched “The Notebook”). The opportunity arose when my husband and I were out in the yard working trying to get the lawn mowed before it got too wet. The forecast was rain for several days and the yard was already a jungle. When he finished mowing, he parked the lawnmower. Work gloves, wet clothing, and pouring rain: it was an interestingly romantic situation.

How I did it: I was holding out to get a manual focus digital CANON ($400+), so I wouldn't let my husband buy anything else. That is, until we came across a great deal on a Canon Digital Elph Powershot ($125). I relented and have been taking pictures ever since. I could regret the moments I missed capturing due to my stubborness, but I'm to busy enjoying my new camera!! Read how I did it…
Loaded up 3 huge boxes full of mine and my husband’s clothes that we haven’t worn in a year or so and dropped them off at the nearest Salvation Army. Donating is a good cause and you get a nifty tax break too!
It’s all about priorities. Dropping what I am doing to show the importance of making an appointment on time. My friends are noticing. My professors are noticing. My family is noticing. AND I gotta say…seeing their happy faces that I’m not wasting their time is well worth the endeavor to show that I care.
