I have finished the yoke of the sweater and am about to move on to more difficult terrain with it….it was at this point last week when I messed up, had to rip the whole thing (which took me a week to do) and start over…..so, here I am again. This time I will work on it while I am not overly sleepy. I never learn – I always knit when I am really tired, and I always make some huge mistake. sigh
The best thing about knitting is you can always undo your mistakes and start again…..not always fun, but a good lesson to be learned.

I have put my name into my yarn store to take one private crochet lesson. It is only $30 and I get an hour of time from the teacher. So, I am looking forward to this. I plan on making basically a giant granny square which will be a lapghan, and a gift for E for Christmas. The woman who suggested the project to me when I told her what I wanted to do for E pulled out a skein of yarn I have had my eye on for months, but with no idea what to make with it. Providence!!

summer IS over (not technically, but in my world it has ended) and I have completed this…..sort of…..my shop is up, but it isn’t very well stocked. I have been knee deep in commissioned orders. People LOVE the berry hats and booties that I do…..I have 4 orders right now. It is nice to be bringing in some money, but I have to admit, I am missing the variety of other projects. I am working on a sweater for my daughter, and a lace scarf made from angora yarn – but I really need to finish these orders.
I am not sure how much more I will be able to do with my shop now that classes have started back…...so, it is up, but on the back burner.
we’ll see where it goes from here.
