I tried to do this but they found my haemoglobin count was too low! I’m taking iron pills now.

I mean, it was definitely fun to learn it. I did it at secondary school level and it was one of the highlights of the timetable. We followed a textbook that had stories about a nice family headed by Caecilius and Metella – a lovely couple. Like a soap opera. It was certainly more fun than the French lessons!
However, it was most disappointing to learn that we couldn’t sit an exam in it because it was so insignificant in the modern world. Even if you work in a hospital you can pick up the lingo without needing to know Latin. Latin is no use to anyone :(
When I keep it up for a long time I feel much more awake and my skin looks better. It’s difficult to do during the winter but it’s also good to drink 8 mugs of herbal tea each day.
