How I did it: After a fairly unsatisfactory upbringing (paraplegic brother, divorced parents, mother who I can't relate to, horrible high school bullying) I retreated into myself and just stopped being able to cope. How I did it: I found books I'd always wanted to read and made time for them. I read at night after my sister had gone to bed and I read when I had nothing to do. Specifically, 'Wicked' and 'Son of a Witch' and 'The Graveyard Book'. Also I started my arts/education degree which has required novels so that helped. :P Read how I did it…
