So I started riding my bike into work this week, my ride is about 3 miles one way, and my odometer says I’ve ridden 34 miles so far, I’d say that about 25 of those miles is this week alone. I just hope I don’t burn myself out, but I feel good about myself every time I get into work and every time I get home from work no matter how much I hurt, so I don’t think I should worry. My legs were fine Monday and Tuesday but yesterday they started to hurt and today I made it in fine but I can barely walk now. It won’t be fun going home, I have a 50 foot hill to climb in the first mile. I probably won’t be able to ride in tomorrow because it’s supposed to rain, surprisingly I’m disappointed about that.

So, while I’m still on the patch I consider myself a quitter because yesterday I forgot to put on a patch. And while I felt bad all day long because of lack of nicotine, I didn’t once even think about having a cigarette. I’ve also not had a cigarette in about 2 months and am getting much better about being in clubs/bars/parties and not wanting a cigarette when others are smoking. Now to get along with my other goals in life like loosing weight and getting healthy.
I’ve finally graduated college!! After spinning my wheels a couple of years after high school I found what I really wanted to do with my life and I went after it. When most people my age are in the middle of or getting out of graduate school I’ve accomplished finishing my first Bachelors degree. I feel good today.
