I’ve found that while it’s nice to see what people are doing, I don’t need a web application for this. I still use it sometimes, but it’s easy to waste a lot of time doing trivial things, and time is valuable to me. Now I try to have regular activities with the people I want to keep in touch with the most, and I’m working on solidifying a core of people who are genuinely my friends, and people who are acquaintances.

How I did it: This is the second time I quit; the first time was when I first met my current girlfriend. This time I waited until I moved to a new city, as I've read that your brain massively reconfigures itself during major events in your life, so these are the times you are most receptive to large changes. Both times I used the patch for the first 2 days, and then forgot to get a new one for one reason or another, so I just ended up going cold turkey… Read how I did it…
since it’s kind of an open-ended goal, and I’m definitely biking more now than when I started, I think I can say it’s a success. I got an old bianchi on the road that I’m using for commuting around until I graduate from school, and can afford a snazzy new one. Too bad winter is coming soon and I’ll have to take the bus again :(.
This is my first attempt to get anything off my list so far. Theselinks offer a few tips on how to start going about it…Now if only I could do it :)
