My Bonzai’s have been alive for over 1 1/2 years! and I have aquired many over the last year. funny, my trees are in my window ( facing the street) and people walk by and admire my little trees :) and two people even left their Bonai’s by my door with little notes asking for me to take good care of them- I’ve kind of become my blocks Bonzai adoption center- I thn place them in my window for their owners to see them when they pass by :) It’s great!

Scouting - AISGO Scouting in USA -
AISGO reunion 3 years ago

I am a Scout Master for the Polish Scouting Organization in the USA – One of the best Jamborees I ever went to was in Chatam NY, for AISGO members – basically Scouts from the Eastern Europe….....AISGO was dissolved after the 80s because many of the organizations started to focus on new developments in their home countries and started hoping for new and exciting things. As we know, they were right. Things changed and AISGO had outlived it’s original purpose, which was to make the world aware of our existence in exile and WHY we were in exile!

During this Jamboree, not only did we show each other different camping and trecking techniques, but got to learn about one anothers culture, swap songs, and great campfire games!!

I would like to get in touch with the Headmasters from all the Scouting Organizations from the below countries ( who have chapters in the US) and possible get together for a Jamboree – again :)
I am currently researching contact info for all these groups, if anyone reading this would know how I could get in touch with them, PLEASE let me know!) If the country is listed in all CAPS, I already found contact info for them

Thanks!

If I believe in God and life after death and you do not, and if there is no God, we both lose when we die. However, if there is a God, you still lose and I gain everything. —Blaise Pascal

Revel in the Beauty of a Rainbow -which is God's way of reminding us of the 7 promises of God to Man
Rainbows are a way of God reminding us of his 7 promises to Man( and Ladies) :) 3 years ago

7 colors of the rainbow , each one represents one of GOD’S promises:

1.He has promised to supply every need we have. The Bible says: “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus”. That’s Phillipians ….

2.God has promised that His grace is sufficient for us. (II Corinthians 12:9).

3.God has promised that His children will not be overtaken with temptation. Instead, He assures us that a way of escape will be provided. This promise is recorded in I Corinthians 10:13.

4. God has promised us victory over death. He first resurrected Jesus by way of assuring our resurrection.

5. God has promised that all things work together for good to those who love and serve Him faithfully (Romans 8:28). It may be difficult for us to see and understand how this is accomplished at times, but God has promised it, and He will deliver.

6.God has promised that those who believe in Jesus and are baptized for the forgiveness of sins will be saved. (Read Mark 16:16 and Acts 2:38).

7. God has promised His people eternal life (John 10:27,28).

Go to World Youth Day
Cologne!!! 3 years ago

http://www.wyd2008.org/

Last year my parish priest and I led a pilgrimage of 52 youths to WYD with Pope Benedict to Cologne Germany. It was great!. The most wonderful part was that there were over 1 million people who gathered in Cologne , with the same purpouse We sang, danced, and had an amazing time just getting to know people who came to Cologne from all over the world! One of my newest best friends who I met there is from Kenya! Teenagers ( and us older folk) made friends there who will remain friends throughout our lifetime.

There are many wonderful moments that I experienced while in Cologne, but one sticks out – and I will share with all.

While waiting for The Holy Father to arrive at the Cologne Cathedral to give his welcoming speech, my group and about 100, 000 other people who got in and passed security were waiting in 102 degree heat for over 8 hours! space was limited, so we had to stand!!! now that’s alot of standing. THe fire department had to drive by and hose everyone down becasue people were falling from heat exhaustion. now, so what do you do for 8 hours?

Well, some wonderful people who were standing next to me and I decided to pray – What else :) that is what we were there for right? , so I got out my rosary, they got there’s out and we recited the rosary together-what was unique about our prayer cirlce, was that each of us was from a different country around the world – there was I ( USA) a person from Argentina, Italy, France and Poland – and each one of us led a decade of the rosary in our native tongue, while the rest replied in their native language. What we all learned : It doesnt’ matter where you live, who you are, what color your skin is….we are here to love one another, understand each other …and be grateful for what we have – no matter what.We love the same God ( maybe just show it differently) :) The beautiful part was that even though we didn’t speak each others language….we kind of did :)

Here’s to Sydney!

thoughts.... 3 years ago

Sometimes life’s going to hit us in the head with a brick. We should not lose faith. I’m convinced that the only thing that really keeps me going is that I love what I do. You’ve got to find what you love, and that is as true for work as it is for your lovers. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work, and the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking , and don’t settle. As with all matters the heart WE WILL KNOW WHEN WE FIND IT, and like any great relationship it just gets better as the years roll on. So we must keep looking AND NOT JUST SETTLE…..

Our time is limited, so we shouldn’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma , which is living with the results of other people’s thinking- Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out our own inner voice, heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary…...
