We were gifted a 26’ Seafarer in the early spring. It took us about 5 weeks to repair and paint. We have been on the water every weekend since May and look forward to keeping her out until late October/early November. Loving it!!

Got the Lucky Shopping Manual so that I can get a plan and be purposeful about spending my money on clothes. When we move into the larger apt. on Dec. 1st I will be able to unpack my clothes (finally), review what I have, decide what I need, and make a plan over the next few months to get started on this.
Meanwhile, I got gift certificates for my birthday! So, I got an outfit from Talbots (brown wool pants w/ light pink pinstripes and a brown v-neck cashmere sweater:) and ordered an outfit from LLBean (brown twill pants, a camel courderoy fitted blazer, and an off white cashmere blend turtleneck:)
Well, I’ve put off getting my hair cut for almost 5 months because I don’t want to go through finding a new hairdresser who can cut my hair the way I like. I went to the first try today out of shame for the condition of my hairstyle. My hair is now trimmed, but the experience was not very good. She didn’t listen to me. She told me I couldn’t have my hair the way I like it because she didn’t think it should be that way. I just let her trim the ends, so it will stop being so flyaway and shrink it’s volume down. She, of course, couldn’t resist cutting more than I said & layering more than I said. She had the awful hairdresser attitude: it doesn’t matter how the hair is cut as long as you have curls (except of course the specific instructions that the customer gives her before she starts – these are completely impossible and would “ruin” the hair). It makes me understand why there are so many women walking around with terrible perms . . .
