How I did it: A friend actually mentioned that he had stopped ordering soda in restaurants because he was trying to save money. How I did it: I was about 6 years old when my parents opened a savings account for me. I had seen my older brothers deposit money in their account, and for whatever reason I wanted to save until I had a $20 bill to take to the bank.
