When you have enough money in your pocket, you can afford do make decisions you would otherwise be too scared to. Hate your job? Have enough money to live at least for six months and are disciplined enough to cut your expenses to the absolute minimum? Then do it!
(This is more like a note to self)
Any job is better than no job at all, right? But on the other hand, if you are spending 8, 10, even 12 hours a day on it like me, well it better be something you actually love doing and have enthusiasm for – two things I find seriously lacking in mine. Perhaps I’m just burned out after all these years in IT, I don’t know. Whatever the case, I long for a career change.
