In the process of cleaning out my art/writing/work room, I’ve discovered one reason for the clutter is I don’t throw away good stuff, even stuff I no longer use. Seems wasteful to me.
Yet, I ask myself, isn’t it just as wasteful to horde it? Someone could be using it!
So, in time, not until January probably, I’ll begin this goal.

I’ve cleaned the desk top—which is large, L-shaped, and holds my computer, printer, paper, lamp, and has a hutch on one side which holds a myriad of other things, behind doors and in slots and on shelves. Lots of space. And I had pretty much filled the whole thing with STUFF while working on my lap-top in another room. (One clean and uncluttered. The only spaces I clutter are my work room and the storage spaces behind and beside the garage. heehee. Things I can close the door to.)
Today I’ll clear off the work table—a huge drawing table that’s much too big for the room. Its size is oppressive, so I’m getting rid of it. Hope to replace it with a smaller one.
I’m discovering I have things to sell on EBay, so learning that whole process will become another goal. The giant graphics View Sonic monitor I had for painting with Painter is gone—ready to sell. Plus I have older versions of Painter (IX and IX.5) and other graphics software I bought and don’t use (having bought other similar software). More space opened… :)

I have printed out my posts and put them into a binder, and will keep up with that as I go from now on. As the notebook fills, I will pick and choose and revise and rewrite.
Meanwhile, my notebook serves as a visual means for my kids to see and read what I’m doing. (My daughter requested I do this.) And it serves as a reminder to me that I’m building content for a book.
