I successfully completed the 100 push up challenge in January 2009, so it’s been awhile and I haven’t been doing that many push-ups since, so I’m back in the ring… I start week 2 today.

How I did it: I started taking the hundred push-up challenge (hundredpushups.com) about four weeks ago. I'm now doing a little over 100 push-ups every other night. Tonight I decided to try if I could do a one handed push-up and low and behold I could. They are still very difficult, but now I should be able to work on increasing the sets. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I followed the program at hundredpushups.com fairly closely. When I hit road blocks I would repeat the day or week that was stopping me. I forced myself to just continually work at the program until finally I achieved my goal. Read how I did it…

I used to be an absolute maniac about working out. I was going to the gym 5 or 6 days a week, often twice a day. Then gradually over the last year and 1/2 I tapered off until I just quit going altogether.
I’m still thin, but I’ve lost a ton of strength and muscle tone in the last year since I quit working out. Not sure how it happened, but I completely lost my motivation.
I finally went back to the gym Tuesday of this week, and I’ve worked out 5 days straight now counting day. I’ve been alternating days as cardio/lifting days.
Finished week one of the 100 pushups, 200 situps, and 200 squats program.
No problem with pushups or squats. I hit my numbers on the situps, but they kill my back every time.
