I’ve played several times over the past couple of months, joined by Maureen on one of the latest occassions. We had a blast, despite npt having a good day at the tables.
Note to the young kid (allowed to play at 18 at the tribal casino we were in) playing – if you have to think about whether or not to hit a 20, you need to learn a little more about the game.

I test out at approximately 53 wpm with my personal “hunt-and-peck” style. Been doing it this way for 20+ years, so breaking it down will be a huge hassle. I can only type at about 25 wpm doing it the right way.

This could be fun.
Now that I will be living in the St. Paul area, I could give Cooks of Crocus Hill a try myself.

I spent 8 hours at work today processing my “hard” inbox. I’ve captured all the physical items. It went well and I feel better about it.
Now comes the electronic inbox, which isn’t all that bad – only 23 items.
Then I have to add my 30+ ongoing projects, but I’ve partially done that in my interactions with a consultant we have helping us, so I’m not too concerned with that – just need to add it to my particular implementation of GTD.

While this is really an unending process, I’m calling it met with over 100 cheers given out. I’ll continue to use them, just won’t be as fanatic about making sure they all go.
It’s been fun to surf and see what other people want to do and cheer the neat things.

Classics – the 4th and 5th books of the trilogy do tire on me, however.

Kind of hard to work on this when I’m living in a hotel for 33 days.

Well, playing more often is an absolute requirement to get better. Unfortuantely the effort hasn’t paid off yet – I’m sliding backwards. Patience reuqired.

The moving company came by the house today to inventory our posessions and schedule the move. I will be in my house (with my stuff) on June 13. Sweet!

My wife isn’t a fan of this goal.
However, I played some yesterday while I was waiting for my hotel to allow me to check in.
I’m sure I’ll get down to the casino a couple more times in the month I’m here.

This goal is closely intertwined with “learn Linux”, since this computer will be a Linux box.

I ran cross country in high school, so 5k is a distance I’m very familiar with. Unfortunately, I’ve run approximately twice in the 16 years since then. Not to mention that I weigh roughly twice what I did back then (even after the 40 pounds I’ve shed recently).

Since I’ve procrastinated on this task so long, I’ve gotten to the point where I have to wait some more – I don’t have a real address at this point – just the hotel I’m calling home for the next month. Will do this in early June.

Just take a few minutes when you log in and pick interesting Things, find a person or two to cheer, and just do it.

I’m in a hotel for work right now. When we close on the house, we’ll make the official move.

After almost 7 years I have finally paid off my graduate school loans. Feels like a huge weight off my back.

I reached this goal on March 15th – only 5 months after starting. My pace has slowed down, but 100 books in the year should be doable.
