How I did it: I pay all my bills electronically with bill pay. For utilities, I set up "budget billing" in which I pay the same amount every month. That way, I can schedule a year's worth of payments in advance. "Budget billing" is not the same as automatic deduction. No one has access to my bank account but me (and my bank...). For other bills, even taxes, I use online resources to determine what I owe. Read how I did it…
