I read Gunslinger, Drawing of the Three, The Waste Lands, and Wizard and Glass when I was 16, and then waited 3 years for King to bring out Wolves of the Calla. I pre-ordered each book and read 5, 6, and 7 within days of each coming out.
To this day, I don’t think any experience of my life has impacted me more than this story. It’s the most magical, spiritual and sublime fantasy-world I have ever had the pleasure to be a part of. The way King structures the world of the story is so fantastic and yet so realistic at the same time. And I love the way he works his other stories into the plot.
I just can’t say enough good things about this book, and I know it won’t be to everyone’s liking, but for me it is more than a novel, it’s a life-changing experience.
