Met some new people last night, I thought I was having a good time, but through the course of the evening I attacked five of my beautiful little nails. I’m not going to have an internal witch-hunt here, the “why” whatever it is, isn’t so important any more. So I just filed them all back again this morning (they didn’t look so bad after that) and I’m starting from scratch again.

It’s working. I’ve gone from 89kg to 80kg in a month. Fasted for 10 days, then just been (almost) carb-free since then. Eat mostly meat, fish, tofu (I’m in Japan) and vegetables. Avoid rice, potatoes, flour, and anything in a box. Bakeries, takeaways and sweets are all no-nos but I don’t miss ‘em. Fell better, fitter, and more positive. little ketone smell in the breath, but that will go when I’m back on the (brown) rice.

Had a restless night a couple of weeks ago and woke up with a new determination. Since then, no biting. Filing every day, no matter how short they look, I don’t want any raggedy edges to tempt me.
