How I did it: I've 'always' wanted to DJ, it just looked so cool, and I'm a big musiclover and I was working for radio at the time, so it only seemed logical to go do it. It wasn't until my friends gave me 'DJ-ing for dummies' as a fun gift on my birthday that I could no longer not do anything with it. So I saw it as a sort of challenge, read the book (for fun, it wasn't like it really taught me anything new), stepped over my fear and just sent a small… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I just went and did it! There's no point in reading books on how to do it, searching the net, doing years of research, if you don't go out there and do it, you'll never will. One band I promoted were friends of mine, another band I knew because they played in the radioshow I worked on. Basically, both bands asked me if I could help, I just said yes and then figured out how to do it in the process! And once I did it I felt great, because I … Read how I did it…
How I did it: I was simply forced by my parents to go on holiday with them. And then I realized I really really needed it, otherwise the batteries would have never been recharged. Read how I did it…

As I was cycling to an appointment I suddenly thought: I love fashion, I love photography, why not combine the two? Why not, in the whole process of trying to be a professional photographer, start focussing on specialising (I think it’s better to have a couple of specialties and be really good at a 2 or 3 things, than selling yourself as a middle of the road photographer who can do everything ‘a little bit’. Which is, well, what I am now. I need a specialisation! I need a focus!), and why not let one specialisation be fashion photography? The least I could do is try it out…
I’m grateful for:
-the fact that it feels like Monday (because I was ill and didn’t work until today), with the big difference that tomorrow is Friday already!
-feeling restless tonight and not get depressed about not knowing what to do with myself, but setting myself to work on a creative task (making a cute little broche)
-my boyfriend being here
-the delicious dinner he made
-the lovely weather (the sun!) after the storm yesterday
