Well in a month and a half I’m going home for 3 weeks before I deploy to Iraq. We’re going to be pretty busy up until then so hopefully the time in between will pass quickly. I look foward to spending time with my family and friends one last time before I go.

How I did it: Well, we trained for two hours every morning for two weeks. The concepts and positions are easy to learn, you just got to practice by fighting with other guys (in your class preferably). We would "roll" for almost a hour and it is exhausting. You will get a great workout and will be very sore and hurting. But in the end you'll have the basic skills to handle yourself in hand to hand combat. Read how I did it…
How I did it: The school is three weeks long but you get nights and weekends off usually. The first two weeks suck because the training is remedial and can beat you up a bit. In the end though it is definitely worth it. Jumping is amazing once your chute deploys and you are just floating through the air it is very peaceful and free. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I got my army bonus and used a bunch of it to pay off my credit card and best buy card. It's great so now all I have to worry about is my car payments, insurance, and cell phone bill. Once I deploy I won't even have to deal with any of that stuff. :) Read how I did it…

Well I helped teach my infantry detachment about skedco’s and how to pack linguinal wounds. It went pretty smoothly. After the July 4th weekend we are going back to the Yakama desert to conduct live fire exercises and medevac training. I look foward to the medical training I’m going to get.
I partnered up with one of the other medics, we hit the gym and lift weights 3 times a week, in addition to the usual PT we do in the mornings. Been doing this for about a month and I’m getting stronger and more cut. Hopefully by the time we deploy I’ll be stacked.
