While in college, I took classes at the Craft Center and learned to blow glass over the course of five months. Blowing glass is an amazing experience and is very fun. If you want to learn to blow glass, look at the local colleges and then also see if there are any shops in your area that have classes. Be prepared to spend a fortune if you don’t go through a community college.

The best way to learn Spanish is to live in a Spanish speaking country for an extended period of time. I went to Spain in 2001*2002 with limited Spanish from high school and college to then study at the University of Granada. You learn the language through the people you meet, trying to order chicken at the butcher shop and playing soccer with the locals. In the first month, I learned more than in the 5 years of school, though having the formal background allowed for easier acquition once there.
