I saw Radiohead in Edinburgh (Meadowbank Stadium) thanks to my daughter getting me a ticket. They were fantastic. They have such a good collection of songs that they are spoilt for choice – but they were great live especially Thom Yorke. Great gig. And a great crowd at the gig. Highly recommended!

I ran in the Great Scottish Run half marathon yesterday. What an experience! It was very hot (26C) which made it very hard work but I covered the 13.1 miles in 2½ hours – which was my target time. Here are some photos. My longest practice run was 10 miles and those last three miles were really hard going. But I made it. I plan to do it again next year.
One week to go before my half marathon! I’ve done three practice runs so far. One 9 mile run and two 10 mile runs. I did a 10 mile run today. Although I was exhausted at the end of each practice, I felt a little better today so I must be improving. I don’t plan any more practice runs before the event. One more session on the treadmill in the middle of next week and that’s it. I just hope I can manage the extra distance on the day.
